HEART Food Pantry

April 1st we moved to our new location at  6475 East Main Street – Suite 126 in Reynoldsburg.   The new facility is handicap accessible, has more shopping space, and is temperature controlled.
HEART is a Food Pantry for the Greater Reynoldsburg Area, is a 501(c)3 organization supported by the Reynoldsburg Ministerial Association and community partners seeking to make a difference in our community
The geographic area we serve is bounded by Hamilton Road, I-70, Havens Corners Road, and Taylor Road. If you are outside this area you are encouraged to call “211” and they can refer you to a food pantry in your area. You can also view a partial list of other pantries by selecting the Other Food Pantries in area link on the left.
HEART is open Wednesday afternoons, Thursday evenings,  and Saturday afternoons, serving people monthly as needed, and partnering with Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Clients are served by appointment only. To set up an appointment please call or text (614) 600-6065 and leave a message. Your call will be returned that evening.
HEART is set up as a choice pantry where families can choose from open shelves once per month.
Hunger is sometimes hidden. Recently we heard of a family where jobs had been lost and things were tough. They had a nice house and cars. You could not see their need– they kept it hidden from those around them. No Christmas, little food, no insurance, struggling to hold on until things turn around—that’s where they are living. Food support makes a difference in tough times like these.
There are more than 50,000 people living in the HEART service area. Of that number
  • 15,000 – 20,000 live within the Federal Poverty level
  • Many are children
  • 50% of Reynoldsburg School District are eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch
Both SECOND HARVEST and the MID-OHIO FOOD BANK identify our target area as underserved. While HEART relies on church and community support for funding and for volunteers, we encourage churches and groups to continue to also support the other operating food pantries.
All new clients will need to provide ID for each family member (such as: Social Security card, insurance card, Drivers License,  Ohio ID card, Birth certificate, or Passport), and proof of address (current utility bill, rent agreement, etc.)  to be registered into our system. This verification is required once per year in July for all clients by Mid-Ohio Food Bank and Ohio Job and Family Services. Failure to provide this verification may cause us not to be able to serve you.
